I returned with the evidence of the orc infighting – the swords abandoned along with the fallen orcs, to Mossward. Delivering the evidence, we decided to have the town smith, Skardi, melt them down to new arms for the village to defend itself with. The smith also tasked me with gathering some supplies – and meanwhile, I sent the adventerous boy Tegwyn out to walk past the palisades – to occupy his mind with “helping”, while not having him distract Skardi.

When I returned, Tegwyn still had not, and I decided to go look around the palisades. I found some old Uruk footprints from the night of the attack, but maybe Tegwyn would not be able to date them correctly, and his adventurous heart had led him to investigate? I had to find him again. Meneldir and I went to Lhan Garan, to ask if their scouts had seen anything – the ork tracks would lead Tegwyn right to the Wadewater next to Lhan Garan. Good thing I had already a nice relationship with them, as this time – time is definitely of the essence.
The scouts had not seen anything, and we decided to search the Wadewater ourselves – killing some Avanc on the way, as these would definitely be one of the bigger threats towards the boy. After some searching, we found him hiding, but unharmed. He had chanced upon an Uruk patrol, and overheard the Uruks talking about going to the elf-city, probably Caras Gelebren, as it is nearby.

Meneldir took Tegwyn back to Mossward, but not before advising me that one of his ranger kin was camped on Caras Gelebren, and to go there with news. He anticipated some animosity, since since he did not leave on the best of terms – but I went ahead with the important message, and he promised to join me later.
