I have stayed a few days in Mossward since the attack, and have helped them recover. It has mostly been mundane tasks. One kid was being bullied, and was issued a challenge to stop it: to try and brave the surrounding wilderness. I went in her stead, and managed to find another villagers lost favorite boot – which turned out not to be his favorite at all, much to my dismay (I still carry it, to bring to Clegur to dispose of it). When I returned, the bully had issued another challenge, to approach the ruined city of Tharbad. Again I went in her stead, but feeling more comfortable with my pace, I managed to gather in all the boar meat a villager named Bevon asked for, to store for winter.

The dares, of course, did not stop when I helped the children solve them. Turns out the leveraged their ability to complete the dares to dare the darer. He was to walk around with lots of cheese, and was being attacked by rats of enourmous size. I helped him get away from the rats, and made the children promise to not do any more dares for now – I wonder how long that will last
Now it seems I must be off to Clegur in the Stoor-Vales. Geralt needs his boot to go there, and there are rumors of a village in the sky there. Meleldir is also concerned that Uruks threaten the safety of that area as well. I will take the shoes, listen to rumors and help keep them safe from the Uruks – but first I need to get there.
