I’m Celosa, also of the Fallohides. I am able to take care of myself, but mostly I like to wander and tell stories and entertain – I’m our very own village minstrel.

I was sent to fetch Bautu one evening, and eventually caught up to him outside Odo’s leaf farm – but I hid when I saw this dreadful black rider that interrogated him and Bounder Boffin for a Baggins. I continued to follow them through Odo’s farm, but had my share of trouble with the spiders, which made it hard to catch up to them. Luckily, this allowed me to avoid the big folk who caught all the gathered Hobbits near the farm – and I was able to follow them to the place they kept them. I went to get help, and someone fetched a man who called himself Strider – and I lead him back to the bandits. He got them freed, but his companion, Amdir I think his name was, was wounded in the breakout. We have travelled to the nearby village of Archet, where I hope we can help Amdir overcome his worrysome wound.

This is a liberally edited retelling of the Hobbit intro sequence – as I just went through it with Bautu. Celosa is my placeholder Minstrel, and I think her and Bautu will probably share adventures pretty much. Especially seeing as they will be sidetracked for a while, while I get further with my main character – but I want to experience the Shire proper – the way only a hobbit can, so I will return to these eventually.
